Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army Receives Significant Update
Sega and Atlus have just unveiled a substantial new update for their title, “RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army,” now available on both the Nintendo Switch and the recently launched Switch 2. This update brings the game to version 1.10, introducing a host of enhancements designed to significantly improve player experience. Since its release in June 2025, shortly after the debut of the Switch 2, the remaster has been praised for its extensive improvements over the original PS2 version, garnering an 8/10 rating for its adept polishing of core elements and thoughtful adjustments to less favorable aspects.
The core of this new patch focuses on an array of quality-of-life improvements and necessary bug fixes. Players will now find it easier to collect MAG through gun attacks, and a “Hold” input option has been added for sword attacks, offering more fluid combat. Demon allies have become more efficient, no longer consuming MAG unnecessarily after battles, and their safeguarding button is now remappable for personalized control. Furthermore, a new “Retry battle on another difficulty” option provides flexibility upon defeat. Economic aspects are also streamlined, allowing players to sell demonic materials at Konnou-ya and travel there directly via Dragon Founts. For those seeking a purer, unhindered experience, toggles for objective UI, destination icons, and investigation skills are now available. New Game+ options have been expanded to offer three distinct carry-over modes—Totality, Luxuries, and Basics—each retaining different sets of progress, from Raidou’s level and money to Summoner Skills and Devil Chart data. Key boss battles in Episodes 1, 8, and the Final Episode have received balance adjustments, and the Devil Chart now tracks demon registration completion. Minor but impactful changes include toggles for shortening demon fusion animations, a more streamlined post-fusion menu flow, reduced animation time for reforging crafted swords, quicker demon summoning in the field, and the ability to skip demon report greetings. Even Gouto’s frequency of reminding players to “Use your gun” has been notably reduced for a less repetitive experience.
These comprehensive updates reflect a commitment to refining gameplay and enhancing player immersion, ensuring that both new players and veterans of the original “RAIDOU Remastered” can enjoy a more polished and engaging adventure. The meticulous attention to detail in these improvements underscores the developers' dedication to fostering an enriching gaming environment, ultimately contributing to a more satisfying and enjoyable experience for everyone.
